𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒕 π’Šπ’“π’‚ π’ƒπ’Šπ’†π’ So 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒕 π’Šπ’“π’‚ π’ƒπ’Šπ’†π’ So much is happening right now. And although the changes in my life might not be as important as the Corona virus or the BLM movement, I did want to take a moment to celebrate my victories. Earlier this month, I handed in my final paper. Just one more presentation and who knows? Maybe I’ll finish my bachelor! But, more important for me, is that I made it this far. For two years, all I could do was dream about handing in my assessment paper. Now I did it! And, as if that’s not enough.. I have my own business! On @ellenklaver_vo you can follow my journey as a freelance voice-over, translator and journalist. I’m proud of who I am, and thankful for the journey and what I got to learn from it. With this, I am in no way stating that my personal achievements are β€˜bigger’ or more important than what’s going on in the world. The BML movement is important, our darker skinned friends need us. 𝑳𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒔 π’Žπ’‚π’Šπ’π’” I should be studying. I should be spending my time wisely, and finish the work projects that I started earlier. But the more I try to work, the more I get reminded of the last trip I made, which was to Paris. I know I’m stalling, and I have to admit that I’m doing it on purpose. I find it so easy to get lost in the things I β€˜have to’ do, so much even that I forget about the things I β€˜want to’ do. Focussing too much on school/work causes me to lose myself. Which is why, whenever I find my mind wandering off, I let it. And for a minute or five, I’ll remind myself of how I felt when climbing the steps of the Sacre Coeur. Of how happy I was when I got to show my boyfriend the amazing view over the city. I can even taste the crΓͺpe I ate just a few minutes before these photos were taken. Just five more minutes, and then I’ll get back to work. This time in self isolation gives me the room to think about my future. To think about what I want to do after I graduate, of what I want to see, where I want to live and what I want to do for work. And with these thoughts, I’m going to continue studying. Because the future is in my hands.
π‘½π’Šπ’” 𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒓 π’—π’π’šπ’‚π’ˆ π‘½π’Šπ’” 𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒓 π’—π’π’šπ’‚π’ˆπ’†π’“ 𝒆𝒓 π’—π’π’šπ’‚π’ˆπ’† 𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒓 π’—π’Šπ’—π’“π’† Am I the only one who really misses travelling the most out of all the things we can’t do at the moment? I’m already dreaming of my next destination, and I think it might be Madrid.. Which country/city would you like to visit when we are free to travel again? Stay safe! πŸ’–
